Recently Qinghai Provincial People's Government reviewed and passed Famous Mark Determination and Protection Measures of Qinghai Province (the “Measures”), which will take effect from March 1, 2012. The promulgation of the Measures will play a positive role in the determination of famous brands, protection of legitimate rights and interests of famous trademark owners and enhancement of the market competitiveness of the famous trademark enterprises in Qinghai.
The Measures reflects focus on requirements of special supports to famous marks, which stipulates provisions on providing special supports to famous marks and specific measures promoting the marks. The Measures also reflects the requirements of special protection to famous marks, which provides statutory protection basis for the growth of the famous marks.
